I am going to compile a set of pictures to show exactly how much food the average person would eat per day, if they followed the FDA's food pyramid.
It will be a few days before I have it all ready to post though.
I plan to input all of it into Fitday, to get a clear picture of actual calories, fat, carbs and protein it actually is.
I think we will all be a bit shocked in the end.

This weeks update
Its about time I started taking care of our poor blog.
So here goes.
Our camera died a couple of weeks ago, so no new pics for a while.
Steve spent a good portion of this week, working in Anchorage at a vendor show. He did a huge amount of ordering for the store for the next year.
Yesterday, I painted our laundry room a medium shade of sage green.
It looks SO NICE now!
Today, I will be putting items back into the room, and hopefull be working on the coat rack.
We collected a good number of old railroad spikes that will the hooks.
I have a length of wood that I am going to shape and "distress", and then stain.
I will then predrill holes to drive the spikes into it.
Hopefully it works!
Last Sunday, we got to see the sign that a friend is making for us.
We will be picking it up this Sunday.
It has a farm name ( for our "hobby" farm) and a verse.
There is also a seperate "eggs for sale" sign.
Last week, we got the chicken coop insulated. Now we just need to install a proper door and a window.
I also need to add to the top of their fence.
Its plenty tall, but many of our chickens have proven themselves to be excellent escape artists.
One of the Americauna's actually climbs it!
There are days I do not want them to free range, like when we are gone on Sunday.
This last Monday, Steve and I went Bunny hunting, and we came away with 31 bunnies.
The freezers are truly exploding now.
I am learning how to not eat dairy now, as I have found that I am reacting to it now.
Nothing real bad, so I intend to do whatever is needed to heal the intolerence.
I am relying on bone broth everyday for my calcium needs now.
Lard and coconut oil are filling in the gaps that butter once held.
Thats all for now!

Biblical Womanhood and the downfall of the modern church
"We are no longer raising women in our culture. We are raising men who happen to be biologically capable of having children."
The Children of Caesar
A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is perfectly trained will be like his teacher.
